Let the journey begins…

New phone

My trusty Blackberry is not holding a charge anymore, so I have to change to a new phone. This is the first photo it took.

Family Shield

He decided he needed a shield for his weapons, so he drew one up.

There are ways other than the hard way

Last night, Ching Fung asked me whether it was ok to jump onto me from our bed. He does this all the time, sometimes without notice, knocking me down at times. He finally realised that it’s ok to ask first, and I always said yes.

In any case, I said yes again, and he made a hard jump. He probably hunted quite a bit, since he banged onto my chest. I caught him with my arms, and gave him a hug. He asked to do it again, but this time, he only jumped enough to reach my arms. It seemed it dawned on him that things don’t need to be done in the hard way. With a big grind on his face, he yelled for Cicy, telling her that 原來可以吾使咁大力!

My first trip to a fun park

You would have thought that having parents that like to go out as much as mine do, I would have been to a park by now :-} Nope, not until last Monday. We were lucky enough to be passing by a small fun park when we were just strolling along in Cheung Chau. Mom suggested we go inside and explore. It was a blast, of cause. If we had left this to Dad, I would have been in college before he realized that we need to go to the park.

First time to fun park

Holiday Seasons

December had been a busy month. Earlier this month, we went to visit a silversmith in Sheung Wan (Hong Kong). Please note the hand-made scarf that mom made for me. Super warm.

108 day tea party

I was 108 days old on Oct 19, and Mom and Dad organized a little tea party, introducing me to their friends and families. Auntie Winnie managed all the catering details to perfection, and the whole party was a lot of fun. There were about 70 people, with many kids. Mom set up a toys corner, so my little friends did not get bored with just adults talking.

Living with Dad

Mom went to Guizhou for a study trip, and I lived with Dad alone for a week. We had a blast. We went on a ferry, went to Cheung Chow, and also to Ma Wan. We went hiking in Kam Tin, and went up the peak for a stroll. All in all, a very exhausting week. Now that Mom is back in town, life is getting back to normal.

In between 3 months old…

It has been a while since my last update, and I had not been idling. I gained some weight in the past few weeks, and I officially tip the scale at 7.36kg net. According to the lovely doctor that did the check up today, weight wise, I am at the 90+ percentile range. Nothing to worry about, at least not yet. Hope mom does not start rationing my milk supply because of this silly statistic. Length wise, I am just average, which got mom worrying a bit. My head size is again in the 90+ percentile. I definitely got this from dad. He got a big head.

On other fronts, I had been been busy practising and perfecting my silly smile. I smile when I wake up, and I smile when I am full. People seem to react positively when I do that.

According to the lunar calendar, I was 3 months old on 9/29. From a western point of view though, I will be 3 months old tomorrow. It had been quite a blast since I started learning all about this new world. Mom and dad had been fairly good tour guides. The fun continues…

Oh, by the way, I will be having a little gathering on the 19th at One Bar. This would be my offical introduction to mom and dad’s friends and family. It’s going to be fun.

Update on my 7-week birthday

I had been busy occupying mom and dad’s time. Normally I spend my day eating, burping, producing, and and sleeping. Of cause there is the nightly activities of bathing and massaging. Dad would sing me songs when we bath, although I am not sure I like his voice yet, hehehe…

I got a bit sick, however, a few days ago. We went to JCCAC this past weekend, and the it was really warm and muggy. May be getting in and out of air conditioned places upset my stomach. I started throwing up on Tuesday. Mom took me to see the doctor. He looked very funny, but he was also good too. He taugh Mom the “proper” way of burping (they can do it like a pro now). Also, he said vomiting is just our babies’ way of fighting minor bacteria infection. Nothing to worry about.

I got better over the next day or two. However, I threw up again today. Sorry about that, mom. I’ll try my best to win this little war as soon as possible.
